Description
Winterborn is an independent game studio that is working on Externus: Path of the Solari, a tactical role-playing game based on a tabletop game created by Kent Gambill.

History
Winterborn was formed by Kent Gambill in January of 2019 to make a tactical role-playing game set in a world he created over 15 years ago. The studio was founded alongside Moudy Hamo, Jack Steele, Stephen Boilegh, and Trevor Osz to make a game using their unique skills.

Kent has been working in the industry for over 10 years including AAA studios and has the creativity and drive to head up the project. Moudy Hamo has the creativity and skill as an artist to give the game a fantastical visual style to draw you in. Jack Steele has a lot of skill on the back end development side to help bring Winterborn’s vision to life. Stephen Boilegh has a passion for how to implement sound in a video game and wants to use that to create an immersive experience. Trevor Osz is very knowledgeable about the games industry. That makes him an asset when it comes to helping promote the game through their website and social media.  

As a studio, Winterborn was formed from a tabletop game that most of the team played for many years. They all have fond memories and a lot of stories to tell about their time playing the game. They want to translate the joy they felt playing the game every Friday night into a video game so that many more can participate. 

At Winterborn, we want to make the kind of games that we grew up playing. Our goal is to always have a complete story that you can sit down and enjoy from beginning to end. We also feel that everyone should be able to play our games and do our best to take accessibility into account as we design them.
