Where I was
Starting is the hardest part. A few years ago, I witnessed two friends of mine get married and you knew when the bridal march was a song from an Elder Scrolls game that they were perfect for each other. Seeing that big moment made me wonder where life would take me after that. I had spent years trying to gain a foothold in various industries, but none of them seemed to stick.
This was around the time where I had become a manager at a RadioShack but that wouldn’t last more than a few months as the stores in my area were all shut down and I had nowhere to go. It was time to look at options. I had never given going to school a serious shot when I was younger, and I could go uninhibited for a few years without gaining debt. Screw it, why not? We did some of the groundwork but hadn’t started forming a plan yet. Once we got together though, it was very real, and I couldn’t be happier with the direction we’re going and the team that I’m working with. We had an instant rapport and felt like a team the moment all five of us were in the same room. That room is our de facto studio in the basement of Kent’s parents’ house. This is where we played Kent’s homebrew tabletop game every Friday night for years. It’s all come full circle and I’m insanely grateful for the opportunity we have here. We all want to make something that we can be proud of.
Where I’ll be
It’s going to be a long few years and a lot of long hours, but I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish. I
